Easter

It's not about Easter bunnies, chocolate or otherwise.  It's not about little ducklings or chicks, cute as they may be.  It's not about hiding plastic eggs filled with candy...

It's about an empty tomb!

It's about victory over death and the grave!

It's about hope!

It's about life everlasting!

Obviously, you can celebrate any way you choose, just please "remember the reason for the season"; remember the power of the resurrection.  Don't let the true meaning get lost in baskets of Easter eggs and candy.  Our children should know that Christ gave His life for them, but that death could not hold Him.

He lives!

Love to all, and may you be filled with the TRUTH of God's Word as you celebrate Resurrection Sunday.

  1. Perfect reminder... Literally... Modern society has twisted fantasy to seem like reality and taken reality and made it to look like fantasy. The secular world relies on the few scripts found of Socrates, but the thousands of copies of the eyewitness accounts of the resurrection they like to ignore.
The Truth can't be ignored or swept under the rug. He is the very Light of this world, it is His power that allows the very life of this second.

    HE IS RISEN INDEED!!!

  2. I read a post that stated firmly they didn't take to all the religious stuff surrounding Easter but enjoyed the bunnies and eggs. My heart was wounded for my Lord--the One who gave us Resurrection Sunday. So thankful He lives in spite of those who have't yet met our risen Lord!

  3. Thank you so much for dropping by, Pamela!

We celebrated with the world until we became "educated" on what this (and other) holiday(s) was all about. I think that's the real issue here. We need to teach our children so they can teach their children. I now have one daughter who does the bunnies and egg hunts (and Santa) and one daughter who has chosen not to.

It is disheartening, Pamela, even grievous for me as a mother/grandmother. To be fair though, my dominate gift is prophecy so I have to work hard at trying to achieve balance with mercy; seeing everything in black and white is difficult. Both daughters love the Lord with their whole heart and for that I am forever grateful.
