He who dared bravely, bravely died.

Some time ago, I was going through a box of my grandmother's photos and I ran across this piece of paper.  It looks like a poem or the words to a song; it's in her handwriting.  There is no title, no author.  I have tried to find some information about it on the internet, but have been unsuccessful.  Could it be that it was my grandmother who wrote it?  If you have any ideas, please let me know.

  1. I ran several phrases through a search engine and ran the entire thing through my school's plagiarism checker and it came back as 0% plagiarized. It appears that Mammaw wrote this! So cool!!!

  2. This sounds hauntingly familiar. The first two sentences seem to be already in my mind. That doesn't mean that is the case, but it does seem like something I read or heard in the 60's or 70's.

I'll forward this to a few people.

What ever the case, you and yours are a chip off the block!
